Pip's tambourine

I added another feature to the 'Moby Dick" scene. The illustration design came from a couple scrimshaw carvings I dug up on the net. Painting the thing was a bear as it's no bigger than my little finger nail!

I'm re-working chasseur's shoulder belt now and hope to have it posted before Chicago.

Thanks for checking in.

Jason, Very cool! Nothing like a bit of eye candy. Man do I like that. ~Gary

Thanks pard! I knew you'd like that little detail:) Yeah, the scene needed something else and I thought Pip's tam would be a cool addition. I was told the deck is too "clean". What do you think?

Maybe a little. The thing is even something worn, like a ship is still maintained. Maybe some staining here and there. I would think if a ship is in the process of leaving on a voyage it would not leave port in crappy shape. I think it's fine the way it is now. ~Gary
