Dettingen Vignette painted!
I finished it just before the Chicago Show. This piece seemed to drag on throughout the summer. Not my usual pace. Now I'm feeling rejuvenated and newly inspired. To bad we can't bottle this motivation, it would be great to Crack it open during the dog days.
These pics were taken with my phone. I'll load more in the next couple days.

Awesome job pard.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. There's always something that I wish I would've liked to have done differently, but in this piece it came out as planned.
Awesome job Jason. Why did you not use the embroidery floss technique for the horsehair this time? The standard is really well done.
Thanks Jay. Using the floss is fairly tedious. If it was a stand alone piece I probably would have. Its not easy manipulating putty into glowing hair. Sculpting the hair this time gave me a good chance to flex other sculpting muscles.
That's flowing hair:)
I would like to see a SBS on the flag/standard. It is very well done. Copper sheet to get the fringe reproduced?
